Irene manages the Finance Department and HR related issues at DRCLAS and has worked at the Center since 2002. A native of Ecuador, she has worked in various international financial institutions in Ecuador and Guatemala as a corporate advisor, financial officer, and financial analyst. She obtained a full scholarship from the Norwegian government to do her M.S. in Financial Economics at the Norwegian School of Management (BI) in Sandvika, Norway. She represented BI’s student council in an international meeting of European and Asian Universities at Istanbul.  Irene holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in management and finance from the University of Oregon and she also completed undergraduate course work at Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador.
