Prior to joining the DRCLAS, Kathy Eckroad served as Director of the Edward S. Mason Program in Public Policy and Management at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Before joining the Mason Program in 2005, Eckroad worked for 12 years in Executive Education where she served as Deputy Director, as well as Senior Director for Global Programs and Program Director for several of the international executive programs. From 1993-1995 she was Assistant Director of Project Liberty, a Harvard initiative to strengthen the role of women in democratic institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Before coming to Harvard, she worked at the University of Michigan where she received both a B.A. and an M.A. in Education. She has lived and traveled extensively in Latin America, and visited many other countries for both work and pleasure.
