2007 Harvard-Brazil Symposium - Public Health
The 2007 Harvard–Brazil Symposium was the inaugural event of a new series of annual symposia designed to deepen collaboration between Harvard faculty and their Brazilian counterparts and to advance an esprit de corps among Jorge Paulo Lemann Fellows. Given the solid nucleus of Harvard faculty interest and research, the importance of public health in building a stronger society, and the opportunity for the Brazil Studies Program at Harvard’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies to serve as a catalyst for sustained engagement, the first symposium focused on public health.
