• Mortality (Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade – SIM) – data from death registration, using version 10 of the International Classification of Diseases to categorize the causes of death;

• Fertility (Sistema de Informações sobre Nascidos Vivos – Sinasc) – data on live births, pregnancy, delivery, and health conditions of newborns.
• Health care – in-patient, immunization, family care, and nutrition
• Health units – number and characteristics of health care units in the country
• Morbidity/Epidemiology – diseases that require compulsory notification, out-patient by cause, and nutrition (also available at http://dtr2004.saude.gov.br/sinanweb/novo/).
• Private health insurance – beneficiaries and providers
