The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University has received a specific license from the U.S. Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) that permits the Center to engage in academic exchange initiatives with Cuba. The license was issued on January 28, 2009 and expires on January 31, 2010. To the degree possible, the Center seeks to support full-time, current Harvard faculty and students and their academic exchanges with Cuban scholars and institutions.
