A Family in History, a project by Susan Meiselas and Alfred Guzzetti, has two parts: Living at Risk: The Story of a Nicaraguan Family, a 58-minute documentary made in 1984 at the height of the Contra war, and The Barrios Family 25 Years Later, a set of short films about what has happened to the Barrios family and their country in the years since.  Meiselas, an award-winning Magnum photographer, is known for her documentation of the Nicaraguan revolution of 1978-79 as well as for photographs made in many other parts of the world.  Guzzetti, a filmmaker, is Professor of Visual Arts at Harvard. Movie presentation, followed by discussion with filmmakers and Jack Spence, Professor of Political Science, University of Massachusetts Boston.
