The demographic profile of Hispanics in the United States is changing in significant ways. The size of the Hispanic population is expected to double by the year 2030. This increase has important implications for the nation’s schools and universities, for the electoral process, and for the economy. However, rather than representing a threat to this nation, this infusion of critical and youthful talent represents an economic and social boon to the United States, provided that the country is able to capitalize on the contributions to society that will be made possible by this growth in the population.
