Research Conference Grants Notice: As a temporary measure, to cope with the current financial situation at the University, our DRCLAS Research Conference Grants for November 1st, 2009 and March 15th, 2010 will be put "on hold".

The Executive Committee of the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, in a discussion of our budget situation for next year, has recommended that, as a temporary measure for the next year or two, we not allocate funds to support research conferences at the Center, except in the most unusual of circumstances. Deciding to put research conference programming “on hold” at the Center was a difficult decision to make. However, we felt it most important to be able to continue to provide resources for students interested in Latin America and for faculty research related to the region. Research conferences are an important part of our on-going activities and we hope we can resume funding such activities when the financial situation improves.
