DRCLAS Graduate Student Associates

Deadline: April 12, 2010

The Graduate Student Associate (GSA) Program is designed to facilitate and supplement a student’s independent research toward the Ph.D. or advanced professional degree on topics related to Latin America. Graduate Student Associates receive access to a photocopier, fax machine, postage allowance, and business cards. They may also be eligible for shared office space at 1730 Cambridge Street, with a computer, telephone and voice mail access.

Graduate students from all Harvard academic departments and professional schools may apply. Applicants from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences who have completed their General Examinations and begun research on their dissertation by the application deadline are given preference, although the review committee will consider all applicants who submit a compelling application. Applicants from the professional schools should be working on a significant research project related to Latin America. Students with office space at any other department or professional school at Harvard are not eligible.
