Lybia worked as research and teaching assistant in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University for five years prior to joining the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau (HLAB) at Harvard Law School in 2006. As a Program Administrator at HLAB, she provided support to advance to the oldest student-run organization in the United States providing free legal services to low-income people in Middlesex and Suffolk counties, Massachusetts working under the direction of David Grossman, Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law  School.  She also helped research material for Boricua Pop: Puerto Ricans and the Latinization of American Culture (New York University Press, 2004) written by Columbia University Professor Frances Negrón-Muntaner. She holds a BA in Hispanic Studies with a minor in English Literature from the Universidad de Puerto Rico and is currently pursuing an MLA in Government at Harvard University’s Extension School. A native of Puerto Rico, Lybia also attended the Università per Stranieri in Perugia, Italia where she studied Italian language and cinema.

Language skills: Spanish, Italian, and working knowledge of Portuguese.
