This film follows three immigrant soldiers through the ups and downs of training and deployment, as they take steps towards achieving US citizenship. Through the stories of soldiers from Mexico, Peru and Ghana, New American Soldier gives us a better understanding of the people who are fighting this war, and what it means to be American.

The Boston Latino International Film Festival November 19th through December 13th, 2009 (BLIFF) will be presenting the latest films produced by Latinos and the latest films pertaining to social issues of Latino communities in the US and Latin America.

The Opening Festival Reception will take place on Thursday, November 19th at 6:00pm at the
Harvard Film Archive, 24 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA.

The following films will be presented after the reception:
