A major priority of the business history group at Harvard Business School is  the globalization of the research and teaching of business history.  The Project on Business History in Latin America has been concerned to facilitate the teaching of business history in business schools as a way to raise the profile of  the subject in Latin America.

To fulfill this goal a new conference will be held in Santiago, by invitation only, coordinated by Andrea Llunch and lead by Geoffrey Jones, Isidor Straus Professor of Business History.
It is hoped to create an outline for a course on Business History in Latin America. In addition, the purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the design of course materials which would enable a full-scale course o Latin American business history to be devised.
