Workshops in 2010

Teaching Global Studies with Technology: A Four-Part Training Workshop for K-12 Educators

The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, together with the Asia Center, Davis Center for Russia/Eurasia Studies and the Center for Middle East Studies, is organizing a workshop to explore the issues of peace and conflict around the world, applying technology-focused training for teachers to use in the classroom. 

Workshop Dates and Themes:

Israel and Palestine, January 29-30, 2010

China and Tibet, February 26-27, 2010

Colombia, March 26-27, 2010

Russia and Georgia, April 23-24, 2010

Teachers are welcome to register for all four workshops or any one regional theme, per interest area. Technology areas will explore: blogging, collaborative websites with Wikispaces, Audioblogging and Voicethreads, and Social bookmarking with Diggo. 

This special workshop series is a collaboration among Harvard's National Resource Centers and EdTech Teacher, an educational technology professional development provider. The U.S. Department of Education's Title VI grant provides program support.
