Marcela coordinates the Art Forum program where she is the Registrar for temporary exhibitions and the permanent collection. She is a master’s degree candidate at The Harvard Extension School in the Museum Studies program. A native of Chile, Marcela earned a B.A and professional degree in Architecture from the Universidad Central de Chile and is candidate to a B.A in Philosophy from the Pontificie Universidad Catolica de Chile. Before moving to the United States she worked as an architect for five years in a firm she co-founded. She also served as teaching assistant in several architectural studios. In Boston, she has worked as a Spanish teacher for the IES program, and as tour guide and family program assistant at the Institute of Contemporary Art. She completed a one-year internship in the registrar’s office at this same institution.
