Archivo Fotográfico y Documental del Museo Etnográfico "Juan B. Ambrosetti," Buenos Aires, Argentina.  A project to catalog and preserve the Eric Boman collection of archeological and related papers, which particularly focus on Argentina's Northwest. $7,800.

Archivo General Histórico, Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, Santiago, Chile.  A project to describe and preserve 2,000 historic photographs from the Archivo's collections. $8,800.

Archivo Histórico de la Provincia de Buenos Aires "Dr. Ricardo Levene," La Plata, Argentina.  A project to rehouse the materials in the Archivo's "Fondo Real Audiencia," which encompasses the period 1680-1830. $6,700.

Archivo y Biblioteca Históricos de Salta, Salta, Argentina.  A project to describe and preserve some 70 folders/42,000 leaves of "phantom" historical manuscripts that either arrived piecemeal or, over time, have been separated from their collections of origin. $11,470.

Biblioteca Daniel Cosío Villegas, El Colegio de México, México.  A project to digitize the Boletín de la Sociedad Mexicana de Geografía y Estadística, an extraordinarily important journal that was founded in 1839.  $14,000.

Biblioteca Teatral de La Plata "Alberto Mediza," La Plata, Argentina.  A project to conserve the library's most rare or unusual materials.  $3,500.

August, 2004

Archivo General del Estado de Yucatán, Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.  The second phase of a
project to index and provide metadata for previously digitized materials from the Archivo's "Fondo Archivo Notarial."  $5,000.

Biblioteca Arnon de Mello, Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil.  A project to prepare preservation
microfilm of the Gazeta de Alagoas for the period 1955-1978.  $10,000.

Biblioteca, Museo y Archivo Ricardo Levene, Buenos Aires, Argentina.  A project to clean, house, organize, and describe newly discovered materials from the collection.  $5,000.

Fundación de Ayuda Social de las Iglesias Cristianas, Santiago, Chile.  A project to
organize and preserve the Fundación's historic holdings.  $10,000.

Registro Civil del Estado Zulia, Maracaibo, Venezuela.  A project to conserve and
catalog the "Criminales" series of the Registro's holdings, covering the period 1804-1920.  $14,000.

Unidad de Servicios Bibliotecarios y de Información, Universidad Veracruzana, Xalapa,
Veracruz, Mexico.  The second phase of a project to organize and preserve the Unidad's
"Fondo Antiguo."  $15,000.

Archivo Histórico de la Provincia del Chaco "Monseñor José Alumni," Resistencia, Chaco,
Argentina.  A project to microfilm the newspaper "El Territorio," beginning in 1970.  $10,000.

Archivo Histórico de Tarija, Tarija, Bolivia.  A project to organize and catalog the Hemeroteca of the Archivo Histórico de Tarija.  $4,000.

Arquivo do Estado de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil.  A project to conserve, catalog, and
microfilm materials from the Arquivo's "Juízo dos Resíduos" holdings.  $10,500.  

Biblioteca, Centro de Estudios Regionales Andinos "Bartolomé de Las Casas," Cuzco, Peru.  A
project to receive and organize the Biblioteca "R. Tom Zuidema" within the Centro. $12,000.

Centro de Documentación e Investigación de la Cultura de Izquierdas en la Argentina (CeDInCI), Buenos Aires, Argentina.  A project to organize and preserve the Centro's "Fondo
de Archivo José Ingenieros."  $20,000.
