The Cuban Economy at the Start of the 21st Century k is a collaborative effort between scholars in the US and Cuba aimed at examining the lessons learned from recent reforms and their impact on the Cuban economy. In this path breaking book, social scientists and policy experts examine issues ranging from the political economy of reform, the impact of these on specific sectors of the Cuban economy including export development, foreign direct investment, U.S.-Cuba trade, and remittances and their effects.

About the Editors: Jorge I. Domínguez is Antonio Madero Professor of Mexican and Latin American Politics and Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. Omar Everleny Pérez Villanueva is Professor in the Department of Economics and a Researcher at the Centro de Estudios de la Economía Cubana, University of Havana. Lorena Barberia is Program Associate at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University.
