Apart from shadowing doctors along with third-year students, HSI participants are invited to participate in a host of student-organized social events. The 2009 participants attended a play put on by Chilean medical students and with them even took a trip to the south of Chile.

“Loved ‘Quiebrespejos’ (play put on by medical students). It was hilarious and made us understand the social context of going to medical school and what it is like for students.
