The Harvard student program coordinator based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, working closely with the DRCLAS Regional Office and the OIP, oversees the Harvard-administered Study Abroad Program (SAP) and helps students enroll for Harvard credit at the three top local universities: the Universidad de Buenos Aires, the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, and the Universidad de San Andrés. Additionally, Harvard College students can explore a variety of social, cultural, political and professional opportunities beyond the classroom. Students also have access to internship opportunities linked to students' area of academic studies such as community and grassroots organizations; cultural, health, and environmental institutions; and international agencies.
Students have the option to follow pre-designed study tracks in human rights and social policy and community service programs, or they may design their own course of study.
To enhance the cultural and linguistic experience, students live with local families. In addition, the student program coordinator organizes an orientation week to ensure the students' smooth transition into life abroad and provides ongoing support as the need arises.
Harvard College students who are coming to study for a semester need a visa.
Students studying in Buenos Aires are invited to take a DRCLAS-organized trip to Santiago, Chile
