 ***Graduate Student Opportunity***

 ALLVP - Antoni &amp; Lelo de Larrea Venture Partners - founded by Federico Antoni and Fernando Lelo de Larrea in 2012, is one of the most active Series A fund in the venture capital industry in Latin America. Across two portfolios, the fund has invested in twenty-five highly innovative and successful companies throughout the region such as Cornershop, the leading on-demand grocery platform in Latin America, weex, the revolutionary mobile virtual network operator and Alkanza, the fastest growing global AI-enabled robo-advisor. In December of 2018, ALLVP announced the first closing of its $100 million Fund III through which it will continue to focus on Series A deals but will expand its strategy more decisively towards Series B. The new fund will sponsor companies that serve the large, underserved and growing middle class in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina, in strategic sectors such as healthcare, fintech &amp; smart cities. ALLVP is a member of the Latin-American Venture Capital Association (LAVCA), the Mexican Private Equity Association (AMEXCAP) and Endeavor Investor Network.  
  
**Internship Description**

 Given the fast paced environment it is difficult to predict which specific projects will be assigned to the students but ALLVP usually tries to involve the participants in at least two of the following:

- Dealflow analysis: outbound, meeting, and analysis of potential investment opportunities. Analysis of market trends, business model and evaluation of the product.
- Investment cases: support the Associates in the preparation of investment cases for Investment Committees including interview of industry experts, analysis of market, product and team due diligence, business model and financial modeling.

 **Sample Internship Responsibilities**

- Crafting of the Investment Memo for a potential Series B investment in a national network of clinics; due diligence with clients and employees.
- Portfolio company project: support portfolio company in the strategic planning and implementation of a specific project (financial, operations, fundraising, marketing).
- Support mobility startup CEO in the elaboration of Series B investment deck.
- Evaluate the feasibility of a new product line for a portfolio company in the Fintech sector.
- Internal Fund Management project: support the associates in the development of ALLVP.data, ALLVP.Research and Open.ALLVP.
- Development of a user experience evaluation framework to help ALLVP improve its assessment of new investment opportunities.
- Outbound to Colombian Ecosystem: mapping of start-ups and investors in the Colombian VC ecosystem and draft of an outbound strategy that could be adopted by ALLVP to increase its footprint in the country.

 **Intern Qualifications**

- Currently pursuing MBA and/or other graduate programs in the School of Design or Law School.
- Professional experience in a start-up is a plus
- Ability to produce polished reports and presentations.
- Passion for technology, innovation, and emerging markets.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish (desired)
- Experience in financial modeling (desired)
- Technical backgrounds and experiences (engineering, data science, etc.) are strongly encouraged to participate.
