 The Brazil Office Fellowship provides a professional exchange experience through a position with Harvard University’s Office in São Paulo. Duration of the Fellowship can range between six months and one year.  
  
Established in 2006, the Brazil Office in São Paulo works in tandem with the Brazil Studies Program in Cambridge to expand research, teaching and educational opportunities for Harvard faculty and students across the University. Most programmatic activities are collaborative in nature, seeking to connect Harvard experts and learners with counterparts in Brazil. Ongoing programs and initiatives focus on inequality, democracy, public health, environment, cities, child development, education, mentoring and language acquisition.  
  
The Fellow's activities take into account their background and interests as well as the needs of the Office. Roles and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Contributing to the organization of programs, courses, events or initiatives;
- Data analysis and report writing;
- Supporting faculty, students and researchers;
- Building relationships and networks at Harvard and in Brazil in areas of high mutual interest;
- Disseminating research and collaboration through communications partners, newsletters, social media, etc.

 Applicants must be current Harvard students or recent graduates (up to 12 months since graduating), have advanced Portuguese language skills and have previous contact with Brazil.



 

 

 



###    Compensation & Benefits  expand\_more  

 

- A yearly stipend of $20,000 with a commitment of 30 hours per week
- Roundtrip airfare to São Paulo
- Emergency health insurance
