## DRCLAS Chile Office Transition

As part of the University’s broader efforts to ensure long-term sustainability, the **DRCLAS Chile Office** **ceased operations on December 15, 2025**. This decision reflects the financial pressures facing higher education and a commitment to pilot a more flexible model of engagement in Spanish-speaking Latin America—one that allows DRCLAS to continue supporting research, teaching, and student experiences without a permanent physical presence.

Our work in Chile, however, remains strong. Key initiatives such as the Harvard–UAI Collaborative Research Grant, the Luksic Visiting Scholars Program, and academic partnerships and courses in Chile will continue.

We extend our gratitude to the Chile Office staff and collaborators for their exemplary work over the past 23 years, and to our community for its continued support. We look forward to building on this history of collaboration in new and evolving ways.
