*City as Commons* explores how Latin American cities can be reimagined as shared spaces of inclusion, collective governance, and belonging. The event will feature María Migliore, former Minister of Housing and Human Development of Buenos Aires, reflecting on her experience leading socio-urban integration policies in informal settlements.

Her keynote will be followed by a panel discussion including Diane Davis ( Charles Dyer Norton Professor of Regional Planning and Urbanism at Harvard GSD), and Cynthia Goytia (Head of the Master of Science in Urban Economics program at Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires).Together, the conversation will bridge perspectives from practice, academia, and comparative planning.

Through this dialogue, the event invites students and faculty from across Harvard to critically examine how cities in Latin America and the Global South are addressing inequality and informality, fostering interdisciplinary exchange across design, policy, and social sciences, and rethinking the city as a shared space for learning and collaboration.

*This event is hosted by LatinGSD, HASS (Harvard Argentine Student Association), and ArgentinaGSD, in collaboration with TerritorioMIT (Latin American Urban Policy Association), with support from the Bloomberg Center for Cities and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.*
