The David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies (DRCLAS) invites you to our Annual Open House on September 10, 2025.

This event is a great opportunity to connect with faculty, students, and members of the Harvard community who share a passion for research and engagement with Latin America and the Caribbean.

Following a panel highlighting faculty doing innovative work in the region, join us for a reception and networking session. Refreshments will be served.

5:00 PM – Welcome remarks by **Steven Levitsky,** David Rockefeller Professor of Latin American Studies and Professor of Government, DRCLAS Faculty Director

5:15–5:45 PM – Research in Action: Harvard Faculty in Latin America  
Featuring:

- **Jesse Hoffnung-Garskof,** Professor of History at Harvard University
- **Steven Levitsky**, David Rockefeller Professor of Latin American Studies and Professor of Government; Faculty Director, DRCLAS
- **Gabriela Soto Laveaga**, Professor of the History of Science; Antonio Madero Professor for the Study of Mexico; Co-Chair, Mexico Studies Program at DRCLAS

Moderated by **Marie Montás**, current PhD candidate in the Department of Global Health and Population, Health Systems, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and recipient of a DRCLAS summer research travel grant in 2023.

5:45 PM – Closing remarks by **Sol Carbonell**, DRCLAS Executive Director
