**About the Speaker**

**Rafael Dumett** (Perú) is the author of the extraordinary novel El espía del Inca, a bestseller and literary phenomenon. He studied linguistics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Perú and theatre at the Universidad Católica, as well as at the Sorbonne University in Paris, and is the author of several plays and a film script. In 2023 Penguin Random House published his novel El camarada Jorge y el Dragón, the first volume of a saga inspired by the spectacular life of Eudocio Ravines, a Peruvian intellectual, journalist and politician who went from being a high political commissar of the Communist International to become a fervent anti-communist and part of the CIA's propaganda apparatus.
