DESCRIPTION:<p>	At the time of his book launching, <em>One Student at a Time. Leading the Global Education Movement</em>, <strong>Professor Fernando Reimers</strong> will facilitate a discussion of the role of education leaders in enhancing the relevance of education and the challenges of collective leadership.<br><br>The conversation will be divided in two parts and participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions. <strong> Professor Manuel Palacios</strong>, from the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora and <strong>Teca Pontual</strong>, Director of Curriculum at the Ministry of Education, will contribute as discussants.<br> <br>2.30-3.30 PM – The Role of Leadership in Enhancing the Relevance of Education<br>This session will discuss the recent book One Student at a Time. Leading the Global Education Movement, a study of the leadership challenges faced by the graduate of Harvard’s Program in International Education Policy as they advance bold education reforms around the world.<br> <br>3.45-4.45 PM – The Roles of Collective Leadership as They Apply to The Improvement of Teacher Quality<br>This conversation will build on the report of the Global Alliance to Improve Teacher Quality, just published in Portuguese by UNESCO and the Federal Ministry of Education.</p>
