We will discuss topics relevant for Chile Peru and for the entire region including: The past present and future of diplomatic relations between both countries; Current state of foreign affairs between Latin America and USA; How diplomacy can affect public policies.</p><p>	<strong>Carlos Pareja</strong>, Peruvian Ambassador in the U.S. since Sep 2016 was Director General for Africa Middle East and America in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has been Ambassador in Chile Switzerland and Spain. Carlos holds a Master in Diplomacy and Foreign Relations form the Diplomatic Academy of Peru and a Bachelor in Law from San Martin de Porres University.</p><p>	<strong>Juan Gabriel Valdes</strong>, Chilean Ambassador in the U.S. since May 2014 was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chile’s representative in the U.N. He has been Ambassador in Spain and Argentina and led the U.N. mission in Haiti. Juan Gabriel holds a PhD in Political Science from Princeton University and a Masters in Latin American Studies from Essex University.</p><p>	This event was organized by the HKS Latin American Caucus and supported by DRCLAS.</p>
