The challenges posed by climate change are urgent across the globe, but few countries are as key to solving these challenges as Brazil. Brazil has contributed to climate change through deforestation yet has also been a leader in the development of renewable energy sources. The political economy of this transition to new energy sources is highlighted in this panel, which will feature the research of Professor Hochstetler’s new book, along with expert commentary from two leaders in the field of environmental politics.
