Dora María is currently working on an account of her life spanning decades of activism: as commander of the Sandinista guerrilla in Nicaragua, high-level official of the socialist government, politician, fighter for LGBTQ+ rights, and fearless opponent in exile to the current dictatorship. Trained as a historian, her memoirs will weave her personal trajectory to the broader history of Latin American dictatorships and the movements of resistance that stand against them.</p><p><em>Presented by "Emerging Ideas on Art and Society" a Harvard University Committee on the Arts Salon Series in collaboration with Theather, Dance &amp; Media and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.</em></p>
