DESCRIPTION:<p><span>On September 9, 2024, a turf war erupted in Sinaloa, Mexico between drug trafficking clans and their respective armed factions and allies. The conflict began in Culiacán, the state capital, and surrounding rural communities before extending to other municipalities. Hundreds of people have been killed, and many more have been reported missing. In Culiacán, locals have reorganized their lives in fear of shootouts, carjackings, and kidnappings.
