SUMMARY:Hablemos de Mexico - From Studio to Reality: The Making of Parque la Plancha
DESCRIPTION:
Join us for a conversation on Parque La Plancha, an urban project that began as a Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) studio led by Diane Davis and ultimately moved from the drawing board to full-scale implementation under Governor Mauricio Vila. This event is organized by the Harvard University Mexican Association of Students (HUMAS).

The discussion will explore the trajectory of this 22-hectare project, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on how academic ideas can translate into real-world urban interventions. Participants will gain insight into the processes, actors, and challenges involved in transforming a studio concept into a built public space, as well as the broader implications for urban development in Mexico.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Harvard University Mexican Association of Students (HUMAS).

This event will be held in English.
