Carla Yumatle is a Visiting Professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella with a PhD in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley and a Masters from London School of Economics.

She did her postdoctoral research at Brown University in the Political Theory Project and taught several years in the Social Studies Program at Harvard University. She published on liberalism, pluralism and human rights. She co-edited two volumes, one on reconceptualizations of key terms in international studies from a Latin American perspective, and the other on the recent transformations of Latin America civil society (forthcoming 2024). She is currently working on a book project on the changing social basis of democracy (forthcoming 2024).
