Maricruz Vargas Ramírez is a PhD student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education concentrating on Human Development, Learning, and Teaching. Her research interests lie at the intersection between indigeneity, education, and migration. Through qualitative methods, she explores the impact of school and out-of-school spaces on Indigenous language maintenance and identity development. Born and raised in Mexico City, she holds a BSc in Psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and an MA from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
