Centro de Estudos em Sustentabilidade - Fundação Getúlio Vargas

The Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) of the Business Administration School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV EAESP) bases its activities in formulating and following-up public policies, building tools for self-regulation, and the development of strategies for business management towards sustainability, locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This action takes place through:

  • formal and informal education

  • applied research and publications

  • workshops, debates, mobilizations, and public engagement

  • communication and exchange of experiences and information that can disseminate concepts and practices around sustainability in all its dimensions

Internship Description

This internship allows the student to:

  • integrate a team of researchers who are currently working with climate policies, carbon pricing instruments in Brazil, and communication strategies within the public policy process

  • take part in meetings and working groups, with different stakeholders, discussing pre-compliance strategies and public policy design for climate change in Brazil

  • support the drafting of papers, reports policy and communication briefs about all stages of policy-making for climate change in a developing country 

Current projects and partners: Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, with 140+ companies that voluntarily prepare GHG Corporate Inventories; Simulation of an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) with 30 of Brazil’s largest companies; Communications strategies and the public policy process (FGV Research) and other climate change projects with large corporations in Brazil.
