This event has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

During previous administrations, Mexico and the US were very confident in the institutional framework they built to address any issues in the bilateral agenda. Is that framework still in place? With a US administration more focused on a transactional agenda, does that framework make any sense? The USMCA is an example of a trilateral mechanism trying to adapt to a new US vision. Are we at a moment to rethink the MEX-US bilateral agenda and how Mexico approaches other countries to balance "its most important bilateral relationship" (as Canada is doing)?

Join us for a conversation on the challenges and opportunities shaping the Mexico-U.S. bilateral agenda, featuring Roberto Lazzeri, Ambassador of Mexico to the United States.

The conversation will be moderated by Gabriela Soto Laveaga, Professor at Harvard University, with Rafael Fernández de Castro, Director of the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies at UC San Diego, and Héctor Cárdenas, President of COMEXI, joining as discussants.

The event will be held in English with Spanish interpretation.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Center for U.S.-Mexico Studies (USMEX) at UC San Diego and the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI).
