Report: Harvard Working Group on Cuba's Future

Over the past six months, the Cuban Studies Program and the Afro-Latin American Research Institute at Harvard have convened a diverse group of scholars and practitioners to examine the crisis facing Cuba and develop recommendations for addressing it. This document summarizes the findings and proposals emerging from those individual efforts. We envision this as a living document—one still in progress—that will be subject to revisions and modifications. Indeed, the Working Group will invite these revisions through several consultation processes, in a spirit of plurality and diversity.

Durante los últimos seis meses, el Programa de Estudios de Cuba y el Instituto de Investigaciones Afrolatinoamericanas de la Universidad de Harvard han reunido a un grupo diverso de académicos e intelectuales para examinar la crisis que enfrenta Cuba y elaborar recomendaciones para abordarla. Este documento resume las conclusiones y propuestas que han surgido de esos esfuerzos individuales. Lo imaginamos como un documento vivo, en construcción, que será objeto de revisiones y modificaciones. De hecho, el Grupo de Trabajo invitará a esas revisiones a través de varios procesos de consulta, en un espíritu de pluralidad y diversidad.
