Santiago Pulido-Gomez is a PhD candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education concentrating on Culture, Institutions, and Society. His research focuses on understanding how organizational culture in schools influences the ways in which teachers learn and develop professionally. In particular, his research uses an organizational-behavior lens and a mixed-methods approach to explore the elements of the school environment that foster or hinder teachers' professional development in low-income schools in Latin American cities. Prior to his doctoral studies, Santiago was a research fellow for the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative and also served as a policy analyst for different Ministries in his home country, Colombia. He holds an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, an Ed.M. from the Harvard School of Education and an MSc. and a BS in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.
