Undergraduate and Graduate Student Opportunity 

Fondo Semillas supports local groups and women leaders in the common goal of improving the status of women in Mexico.  What makes Semillas unique as a women’s fund is its capacity to invest in social change, not only by means of economic resources, but also by strengthening the abilities of its grantee partners to achieve a greater level of equality between women and men. Rather than providing a short-term cure for the conditions of injustice and inequality of women in Mexico, Semillas targets the roots that generate these conditions in order to modify them. This is called social investment. When women identify their own needs, they act together to propose their solutions. Semillas provides them with the financial resources, training, opportunities and spaces to convene.

  • Research of information and hard data of a context for generation of proposals

Internship Qualifications

• Good writing in English and Spanish

• An interest in communication, journalism, etc

• Strategic and critical thinking in order to understand and prioritze work, as well make creative suggestions
