Together with Instituto Península, Fundação Santillana and educators from across Brazil, Professor Katherine Merseth produced Desafios reais do cotidiano escolar brasileiro: 22 dilemas vividos por diretores, coordenadores e professores em escolas de todo o Brazil. 

This project was inspired by a collaboration between Professor Katherine Merseth and the DRCLAS Regional Office, which resulted in the publication Confronting Challenges: Case Studies in Education (available in English and in Spanish).

A report on the project was created by Professor Fernado Reimers and colleagues entitled Conectando os pontos para construir o ensino e aprendizado do futuro, also available in English.
